Andrew Knox, AIA is a graduate of the Yale University School of Architecture where he received his Master's of Architecture degree. During the formative years of his professional career, he practiced in Wales, London, California, Connecticut and New York, ultimately establishing roots with The Edelman Partnership. He was named partner to this firm in 1998. In addition to his professional practice, Andrew serves as the Co-Chair on the AIA, New York City Chapter, Housing Committee. He is also a Board Member of the Betances Health Center. Andrew grew up in various parts of the world, including Pakistan, before settling in the Lower East Side. Before dedicating himself to architecture Andrew honed his mechanical skills working at Midas Muffler shop and was also an aspiring actor. Unfortunately, he was typically shot before the second act. When pried away from the office, he joins his wife and daughters upstate, but he is more likely to build a log shelter or igloo than actually relax. Andrew often bikes to the office and to job sites but never without his helmet.
